Withdrawing from a Course or Event

To withdraw from a course or event, you will need to notify the LIFE office in writing. However, consider whether you would rather switch to another course rather than just withdraw. More about that process below. 


Written application must be in the form of an email sent to info@thelifeinstitute.ca .Do not mail a response by post. 


A refund of course fees, minus a $20.00 administration charge, will be made if your written application is received by The LIFE Institute no less than three business days before

  • the first session of a two to four week course
  • the second session of all courses that last five weeks or more

Course materials, admission, or other unique costs included in the fee may not be refundable.


No refunds will be made for single-session courses, walks or special events.
 

Theatre Alive: There is no refund once the block of tickets has been purchased.

 

Transferring to another course: If you transfer to another course instead of withdrawing, you will not be charged an administration fee. In the email that you send to withdraw from a course, indicate that you want to transfer to another course and provide the name and course number of that course. If the new course is a different price, your cost will be adjusted. The office will notify you of the adjustment process. 

 
Reason for withdrawing: If you are comfortable explaining your reasons for withdrawal, please include them in your written withdrawal request. LIFE is trying to document the reasons people withdraw from courses as part of the ongoing course evaluation process. Your contact information will be removed before the reasons are reviewed.
